Brenden Johnstone

Working in the street food industry but equally at home in French cooking, Chef Brenden has been able to hone his skills and expand his repertoire of culinary knowledge under the tutelage of Chef Sandra MacInnis (Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts, St. Martha's Hospitality Group, Rational Canada).

Over the last 7 years, Brenden has cooked and worked alongside some of the biggest names in Canada’s culinary roster including Executive Chef and TV personality Georges Laurier, Sheraton Ottawa Executive Chef Frédéric Filliodeau and celebrity chef and TV personality Kathy Smart. He has been working and training with former Cordon Bleu senior director Chef Sandra MacInnis since 2010.

Brenden’s culinary experiences have also lent themselves to large scale catering contracts including the 2010 Reach gala and the 2010 Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival. He has cooked for nearly a dozen Ambassadors, Ottawa Senators Captain Erik Karlsson, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and some of Ottawa’s biggest corporate and political personalities.

Since beginning with DineCasa in January 2016, Brenden has worked with over 90 individual clients and over 900 guests across the City of Ottawa and Gatineau ranging from a Summer Solstice Pop-Up with Domaine Perrault in Navan, birthday and retirements parties to weddings, office and corporate caterings to family and group dinners.
